29 July 2012, SINE, East of Kurdistan, – Number of Kurdish women addicted to drugs has increased by a rate of 100 per cent in Sine.
According to Mehr News Agency, General Manager of Sine province prisons revealed that the number of Kurdish women addicted to drug has increased to a large extent. He added that the figures, from people arrested in prison with the charges of drug-takings, show that women addicted to drugs are 100 per cents more. He also mentioned that the increases do not only include people with less literacy but academic people have been involved too.
There is not only a single attempt from the Iranian regime to stop such incidences in Kurdistan, rather the price of drugs are much cheaper and distributed more easily that the distributions even include the officials.
Feminist analysts believe that a society in which women have been derailed from their originality will be destroyed easily. Therefore, East of Kurdistan is at a big risk.

Afghanistan: More than 250 missiles fired from Pakistan in Kunar province, as seven are killed in north Waziristan US - drone strike
Local residents also confirmed the cross border shelling and said heavy casualties were incurred to local residents in these districts.
According to local authorities in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan at least 250 missiles have been fired in three districts in this province since Saturday night in fresh wave of cross border attacks from Pakistan.
Provincial governor Syed Fazlullah Wahidi confirming the report said the missiles were fired in Dangam, Shegal and Nari districts where at least three Afghan civilians were injured.
Local residents also confirmed the cross border shelling and said heavy casualties were incurred to local residents in these districts.

A spokesman for the interior ministry Sediq Sediqi said the cross border shelling from Pakistan into Afghanistan was for the first time confirmed by foreign ministry officials of Pakistan.
In the meantime NATO-led International Security Assistance Force following a statement announced,” Recent allegations that the Pakistani military has notified the International Security Assistance Force 52 times that insurgent elements were crossing the Afghan/Pakistan border are incorrect. Whenever the Pakistani military has requested assistance, ISAF immediately dispatched the appropriate force to deal with the issue.”
ISAF following the statement further added, “In the spirit of recent improving relations with the Pakistani military, ISAF will continue to take every Pakistani military report of cross-border movement very seriously and will assist whenever and wherever possible.
We have many shared interests – including our respective commitments for coordinated action against the cross-border attacks of the Haqqani terrorists from North Waziristan who threaten Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the region; of supporting Afghanistan’s security, stability, and efforts towards reconciliation; and of continuing to work together to advance the many other shared interests we have, from increasing trade and investment to strengthening our people-to-people ties.
We are committed to working together with Pakistan on these issues, and others, on the basis of mutual interest and respect. We should pursue a relationship that is enduring, strategic, carefully defined, and that enhances the security and prosperity of the region.”

Israel obstructs the peace and is paid handsomely for it, by Jonathan Cook
Jul 29, 2012, Israel has barely put a foot right with the international community since its attack on Gaza more than three years ago provoked global revulsion. The right-wing government of Benjamin Netanyahu has serially defied and insulted foreign leaders, including US President Barack Obama; given the settlers virtual free rein; blocked peace talks with the Palestinians; intimidated and marginalised human rights groups, UN agencies and even the Israeli courts; and fuelled a popular wave of Jewish ethnic and religious chauvinism against the country’s Palestinian minority, foreign workers and asylum seekers.
No wonder, then, that in poll after poll Israel ranks as one of the countries with the most negative influence on international affairs.
And yet, the lower Israel sinks in public estimation, the more generous western leaders are in handing out aid and special favours to their wayward ally. The past few days have been particularly shameless.
It was revealed last week that the European Union had approved a massive upgrade in Israel’s special trading status, strengthening economic ties in dozens of different fields. The decision was a reversal of a freeze imposed in the wake of the Gaza attack of winter 2008.
Amnesty International pointed out that the EU was violating its own commitments in the European Neighbourhood Policy, which requires that, as a preferred trading partner, Israel respect international human rights, democratic values and its humanitarian obligations.
Equally troubling, the EU is apparently preparing to upend what had looked like an emerging consensus in favour of banning settlement products – the only meaningful punishment the EU has threatened to inflict on Israel.
With some irony, Europe’s turnabout was revealed the same day that Israel announced it was planning to destroy eight villages in the West Bank, expelling their 1,500 Palestinian inhabitants, to make way for a military firing zone. Four more villages are also under threat.
The villagers’ expulsion was further confirmation that Israel is conducting a “forced transfer” of Palestinians, as recent EU reports have warned, from the nearly two-thirds of the West Bank under its control.
Europe’s only real leverage over Israel is economic: business between the two already accounts for about 60 per cent of Israeli trade, worth nearly 30 billion euros (Dh136 billion). But rather than penalising Israel for repeatedly stomping over the flimsiest prospects for a two-state solution, the EU is handsomely rewarding it.
It is not alone. The United States is also showering economic benefits and military goodies on Israel, in addition to the billions of dollars in aid it hands over every year. In the past few days alone, President Obama signed a new law greatly expanding military cooperation with Israel and donated a further $70 million to develop its Iron Dome missile defence system; the Pentagon arm-twisted Lockheed Martin into collaborating with Israeli firms in revamping the new F-35 fighter jet; and Congress approved a four-year extension of US loan guarantees to make it cheaper for Israel to borrow money on the international markets.
All this munificence is coming from the two dominant parties to the Quartet – the international group comprising the US, the EU, the United Nations and Russia. The Quartet’s role is to champion the very two-state solution Israel is striving so strenuously to destroy.
In a further irony, the World Bank issued last week its latest report on the state of the Palestinian economy, concluding that its situation was so dire the Palestinian government-in-waiting, the Palestinian Authority, could not be considered ready for independent statehood. The report noted that the Palestinians were heavily reliant on foreign donors and that local private businesses, agriculture and manufacturing were all in decline.
With feigned obtuseness, the World Bank recommended that the PA increase exports to foreign markets, glossing over the biggest impediment to such trade: the severe restrictions imposed by Israel on the movement of people and goods into and out of Palestinian territory.
As the Quartet has grown ever more silent in the face of Israeli transgressions, US politicians have stepped in with cynical manoeuvres to shore up Israel’s intransigence and destroy any hopes of a peaceful solution.
Last week, for example, US lawmakers were reported to have put their names to a congressional resolution recognising the recent report of Israel’s controversial Levy Committee. The report concluded that Israel was not occupying the West Bank and that consequently the settlements there are legal.
The topsy-turvy character of international diplomacy was acknowledged this month by a recently retired British ambassador to the Middle East. Tom Philips, who served in Israel and Saudi Arabia, writes in the latest edition of Prospect magazine that Europe and the US need to use “big carrots and big sticks” if there is to be any hope of reviving the peace process.
But Mr Philips believes the US is “genetically indisposed” to forcing change on Israel. He proposes instead choking off donor money to the PA so as “to put the full weight of the occupation on Israel, a burden I do not think they would be able to endure”.
In another of the rich ironies of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it now seems even some diplomats are concluding that the Palestinians will be best served by destroying the fledgling government that was supposed to be the harbinger of their independence.
The real obstacles to peace – Israel, its occupation and western complicity – might then be laid bare for all to see.

It is now a week that HPG - People's Defence Forces and Turkish army are living serious clashes. The army also caused serious fires in the forest around the bombed area.
It is understood that the way into and out of Beldesi, (Derecik-Rubarok) is blocked, which meant villagers were not able to return to their homes.

Syrian forces shelled Daraa’s Al-Harak, Khirbet Ghazali and Al-Yadouda, Al-Jazeera television reported.
Syrian forces killed 21 people on Sunday, most of them in Edleb and near Damascus, Al-Jazeera television quoted the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights as saying.
Syrian forces shelled Homs' neighborhood of Al-Khalidiya, in addition to Rastan and Houla, Al-Jazeera television reported.
International envoy for Syria Kofi Annan has said he feared an "imminent battle" in Aleppo, the country's economic capital largely held by rebels.

Syrian army 'bombs Palestine Hospital'
26/07/2012, (Ma'an) -- Forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad on Thursday bombed a hospital in Damascus' Yarmouk refugee camp, Palestinian sources told Ma'an.
Sources in the camp told Ma'an that that there have been heavy clashes between Assad's troops and opposition forces around the Palestine hospital since Monday morning, and that Assad's forces shelled the building twice on Thursday causing a huge fire.
They added that fighting in Yarmouk was intensifying daily, and that the number of Palestinians killed was rising dramatically in camps across Damascus and in Daraa and Halab.
A resident of Yarmouk told Reuters on Thursday that the army seemed to be targeting sites on the edges of the camp, firing shells every minute. The bombardment started around 7 a.m. and was still going three hours later.
Yarmouk is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Syria.

24 July 2012, NEWSDESK, -- The Iranian Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) opened fires on vehicle of a Kurdish worker on 21 July setting it on fire by bullet shower, local sources reported.
The witnesses observed that the body of the worker was burnt by the fire triggered as the result of the bullet showers shot by the IRGC.
Sabir Xun Siyawesh was targeted by the IRGC in the neighbouring of Shex Sale village and as the result of the bullet shower his car was ignited burning him inside of it. Sabir the father of three and the dead of his family did not manage to escape the fire and was burnt inside of his car.

NEWSDESK, -- The Kurdish well known director, Mr Qobadi, bestowed his latest film to two Kurdish martyrs. Mr Qobadi had dedicated his latest film called Werzi Kergeden to Kurdish martyrs Ferzad Kemangir and Saneh Jale.
Ferzad Kemangir was a Kurdish teacher who was executed on May 2010 for his political believes advocating the Kurdish national rights. Saneh Jale was a student at the Art University of Tehran who was shot dead on 2010 during demonstrations organised against the rigged election.
MEHABAD, -- Twenty Kurdish men were arrested and sentenced to an overall of 67 years incarceration. According to Mukrian News agency, 20 citizens from the city of Mehabad in East of Kurdistan, who were arrested last year, were sentenced to 67 years imprisonment.
The court has not still confirmed the penalty of the accused prisoners; however, some believe that they were arrested with the charges of threatening the security of the country.
Names of the prisoners are as follows:
Osman Meolan’nijad to 10 years imprisonment, Eli Meolan ‘nijaad, Ismaiil Hemzepur,

SEQIZ, -- Security Forces have arrested ten people in Seqiz city within the last few days, local sources reported. Finally, reports of a Turkish military helicopter going down in the Hakkari province, just north of Iraq in operations against Kurdish rebels located there, indicates that another Turkish military operation against its own Kurdish population is underway – albeit very quietly.
Turkey has pursued an exceedingly hypocritical foreign policy as of late – arming, funding, training, and sheltering FSA terrorists in their efforts to undermine and destroy neighboring Syria, while carrying out a brutal campaign against Kurdish rebels rising up against the Turkish government.
Turkey over the last 10 years has rolled tanks against Kurdish rebels, and strafed suspected rebel towns from the air, both within Turkey, and astonishingly deep within northern Iraq. The latest airstrikes being carried out as late as last week.
A recent deployment of military equipment along the Turkish-Syrian border by the Turkish military arrived in Mardin, the province facing Syria’s Kurdish dominated northeast, not the fighting taking place toward the West in Aleppo and Idlib.
More recently, Turkey has been bombing “suspected” rebel bases in both Turkey and Iraq, as well as conducting mass nationwide arrests.
It would appear that Turkey is engaged in combat operations against its own population, while disingenuously berating the Syrian government over its security operations against the FSA.
It would also appear that Turkey has repeatedly violated Iraqi airspace in recent weeks to pursue rebels over its borders – a scenario it and NATO have stated would constitute a war provocation should Syria pursue a similar policy.
Turkey is not only conducting security operations against its own Kurdish population, but against Kurds in Iraq, and is staging military equipment across the border from Syria’s Kurds.
That this is not being covered in the Western media, demands further scrutiny and indicates that a wider conflict is already beginning – not because of Syria’s President Assad, but because of NATO and Turkey’s Prime Minister Erdogan.

23-7-2012, The number of killed in Syria has risen to 175 thus far, and includes 25 corpses in Barzeh and 12 unidentified corpses that were subjected to torture and burning in Moudamiet Al-Sham. 12 corpses were found in the orchards of Daraya and bore signs of torture. 90 martyrs were reported in Damascus and its suburbs, 25 in Daraa, 15 in Aleppo, 15 in Idlib, 10 in Deir Ezzor, 9 in Homs, 7 in Hama, 3 in Lattakia, and 1 in Raqqa.
Fourteen members of the Palestinian Liberation Army were found dead near Damascus, Al-Arabiya television reported.

QEZWIN, Iran – 7 people were executed in the Qezwin prison on Wednesday 18th July.
Qezwin prosecutor revealed in a talk he had with Iranian official newsagent, Fars News, that 7 people were hanged at the Qezwin prison. While he did not mention their names, he said that their charges were dealing with drugs.

Miss Celaliyan is suffering from an internal bleeding due to the hard tortures she had been subjected before. Although she suffers from internal bleeding, she is not allowed to be taken out of prison for medical treatment and also no remedy is provided in the prison.
Miss Zeyneb Celaliyan is a Kurdish female political activist who was born on 1982. She was arrested on 2008 by the Iranian security guards and was subjected to the cruelest tortures for the charges of working with a Kurdish political party.
Celaliyan was sentenced to death in a trail that lasted only for few minutes on 2010. Her sentence was reduced to life imprisonment on 2011 and since then she is kept in Kirmashan prison. Her health is getting worse and she needs to be treated immediately because her life is at risk.

The Kurdish people in Syria’s second largest city Aleppo have been caught in the middle of clashes between Assad regime’s security forces and Western-supported armed groups. Deaths and injuries reported in the city which currently has a Kurdish population of over half a million.
Severe clashes between two sides have expanded to densely Kurdish populated neighborhoods of Heyderiye and Meakin Heneno. Tanks and artilleries are used in the clashes, said ANF reporter in Aleppo. The Kurdish people in the clashes area are reportedly fleeing to other Kurdish neighborhoods.
Which armed Kurdish groups Washington condemns as terrorists and which ones it embraces as “freedom fighters” is entirely dependent upon US imperialist interests.
