Working on Turkey´s "territorial integrity"...

Syrian forces on Monday shelled a Syrian refugee camp in Turkey, activists told Al-Arabiya television.

Yeah...and people of the rest of the world are idiots..It´s just a few manipulating psychopaths mass genocidals and smaller genocidals and profiteers that are the smart ones..

How comfortable with Turkey in the security council...isn´t it..It´s just go on for a year and display a genocide on You Tube..just like Saddam..

It´s very clear that it´s no "civil war" in Syria - it's genocide.

It´s a "cleansing" going on, just like all over the region. Like the Nazis have come back to Africa, over a whole #¤%¤¤ continent to Asia.

IT´S THE #¤#¤¤¤ RETURN OF THE NAZIS!

Like when Hodge’s successor, General William Roberts, declared it was of “utmost importance” that dissenters “be cleared up as soon as possible.” And the repressive Japanese organization, “National League To Provide Guidance”, was used to systematically identify any Koreans who had opposed Japanese occupation and worked to identify those who opposed the brutal U.S./Rhee rule. Thousands were murdered, jailed, and tortured, and many dumped into the sea as a result.

Or like when Pinochet "implemented democracy" in Chile.

Or like Turkey´s "democratization"..

And so on..

Washington and Israel Threaten Humanity

April 30, 2012, So does NATO. It's America's imperial tool. An alliance for war, not peace, enemies were invented post-Soviet Russia. Communism then was the alleged threat. Today it's terrorism. Strategically intervening under US control, world peace and humanity are threatened.

NATO wages America's wars. Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asian ones involve Israel. Both countries threaten world peace. Obama is America's latest warrior president. He exceeds the worst of his predecessors. He accomplished the impossible. He governs to the right of George Bush. Yet he retains enough support so far for reelection.

From January then to now, America's been at war with Iraq, Yugoslavia, and elsewhere from North Africa to Central Asia. Obama's its latest exponent. Trigger-happy fits him well.

Waging multiple wars, he can't wait to start another. In a second term, who knows what he'll do.
Partnered with Israel should give supporters pause. Both nations are modern day Spartas. Militarism and war is their way of life, overtly and covertly. Both are also nuclear armed and dangerous.

Coming back to "finish off" what has been orchestrated, staged, coordinated and carried out for decades all over the #¤#¤¤ region and beyond

Turkey is the 15th largest economy in the world, still criminals and mass murderers do not want the competition in smuggling fuel

Iranian border patrolmen are killing, shooting, exterminating hunting down young Kurds who try to smuggle cheap diesel oil across the border to Turkey. One Iranian border patrol's victim was handed over to Turkish authorities in January. Turkey imports more than one third of its oil and natural gas from Iran. From the Iranian regime - under sanctions for terrorists activities under the US Treasury department and at the same time cooperating and carrying out bombings, extermination in the coordinated "war against terrorism" against Kurds in cooperation with Turkey, NATO and the same #¤#¤# Treasury department.

Papua: Unravelling the Merauke Integrated Food and Energy Estate

April 25, 2012, Announcing the publication of a new report into a major land grab in West Papua: “An Agribusiness Attack in West Papua: Unravelling the Merauke Integrated Food and Energy Estate” is now online at:http://awasmifee.potager.org/(direct pdf download: http://awasmifee.potager.org/uploads/2012/03/mifee_en.pdf )

The Merauke Integrated Food and Energy Estate (MIFEE) is a vast mega-project, a plan for over a million hectares of plantations and industrialised agriculture that threatens the people and environment across the southern part of West Papua. Indonesian and foreign companies have each claimed their share of the land, and offer the local Malind people next-to-nothing in exchange for the forest that has sustained them for countless generations.

West Papua, where the MIFEE project is set to take place, is a conflict zone. The Papuan people have been struggling for decades for their freedom and self-determination. West Papua is also the next frontier for Indonesia’s plantations industry – after Sumatra and Borneo’s forests have been decimated for the pulp and oil-palm industries, now Papua becomes the target.

Although some plantations already exist, MIFEE represents another order of magnitude, opening the floodgates to development projects across Papua in which the losers will be the Papuan people.

awasMIFEE! has been created as an act of solidarity with the social and ecological struggles of the people of Merauke and elsewhere in West Papua. We believe that it is important that people outside of West Papua also know what is happening in Merauke. However, information available about MIFEE can be confusing – much of it comes from different companies and government bodies, and each have their own way of describing the project that fits with their own interests and objectives.

By compiling information from different sources, such as reports from the villages affected, from NGOs and other groups, from Papuan, Indonesian and financial media, from local and national government, and from company websites, we have tried to unravel what MIFEE is likely to mean for the people of Merauke.

We hope that a more coherent understanding of how this land grab is taking shape will be of interest to people who are interested in West Papua, in the defence of forests and forest peoples, in the struggles against agro-fuels and against the growth of industrialised agriculture.

What is MIFEE – how MIFEE presents itself as the answer to Indonesia’s food security needs. But is it actually just an excuse for oil palm and logging companies to conquer new territory.

British PM Criticized for 'Overstating' Indonesia’s Democracy

April 27, 2012, British Prime Minister David Cameron, delivers his speech during a visit to Al-Azhar University in Jakarta on April 12.

Human Rights Watch has criticized British Prime Minister David Cameron for his statements about Indonesia’s democracy, saying he overrated it while neglecting reports of ongoing rights abuses.

Cameron praised Indonesia during his Jakarta visit earlier this month, saying Indonesia’s transition to democracy could be a model for other Muslim majority nations.“The people of Indonesia can show through democracy there is an alternative to dictatorship and extremism. That here in the country with the biggest Muslim population on the planet, religion and democracy need not be in conflict,” he told students at Al-Azhar University in Jakarta on April 12.

HRW, however, issued a statement on Friday criticizing Cameron’s remarks, saying he “overstated” Indonesia’s democracy and disregarded “serious ongoing human rights violations” in the country. “In Indonesia’s Papua and West Papua provinces, Indonesian security forces are still not held fully accountable for rights violations against peaceful independence activists,”

HRW also expressed its concern with Cameron’s plan to lift a decade-old ban on exporting British military equipment to Indonesia. The group said it sent a letter, also on Friday, to the British prime minister over the criticism.

Cameron and Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono witnessed the signing of a $2.5 billion deal between national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia and Airbus in Jakarta during Cameron’s visit. The two leaders also said they would try to double trade between their countries within three years

European Institutions have dedicated a series of parliamentary sessions spanning from the 23rd through the 26th of April to analyze the ongoing Syrian crisis. It was decided that valuable testimonies be collected. At the end of a 4 day-long series of debates and sessions, a 15-point resolution was drafted with overwhelming support and approval by the Parliamentary Assembly acknowledging and denouncing blatant disregard towards Human Rights on the part of the current Syrian regime.

Consequently, it was declared that such actions conducted by the Syrian government constitute crimes against Humanity punishable under universally accepted international law.

U.S. and South Korea Assault an Idyllic Island

Hodge’s successor, General William Roberts, declared it was of “utmost importance” that dissenters “be cleared up as soon as possible.” The repressive Japanese organization, “National League To Provide Guidance” (Bo Do Yun Maeng), was expanded by the Rhee regime. Used to systematically identify any Koreans who had opposed Japanese occupation, the League now worked to identify those who opposed the de facto brutal U.S./Rhee rule. Thousands were murdered, jailed, and tortured, and many dumped into the sea as a result.

The Governor of Jeju at the time admitted that the repression of the Island’s 300,000 residents led to the murder of as many as 60,000 Islanders, with another 40,000 desperately fleeing in boats to Japan. Thus, one-third of its residents were either murdered or fled during the “extermination” campaign. Nearly 40,000 homes were destroyed and 270 of 400 villages were leveled.

EXTERMINATIONS in the interests of the "private Enterprise"!

29 April 2012, XANE, -- Iranian gunmen fired on a couple of civilian in the city of Xane (Piranshar) injuring one, local sources said. The reason for the shooting is yet unknown.

According to the local correspondents from Xane the regimes’ gunmen fired on couple of citizens who were coming back home from excursion wounding one identified synonymously as (H.B).

It should be noted that the international campaign for human rights in Iran reported that only in the last couple of months 74 Kurdish workers had been killed by the Iranian Border Guards.

150 Kurds killed and injured in one year

29 April 2012, -- According to published figures 74 Kurds had been killed by the Iranian Border Guards and 76 others injured in the last year.

Shedding lights on the predicament of Kurdish workers, International Campaign for Human Right in Iran has published the figures of those killed and injured last year.

According to the figures published by this institution, at least 70 Kurdish workers had lost their lives as result of direct shots of Iranian soldiers, 4 workers by mine explosion and harsh weathers.

Additionally, 76 workers have been injured by the gunfire. What is more striking is that the Iranian soldiers do also shoot the horses and the mules used by the workers to carry goods.

Efforts by certain circles of civil activists and journalists led the case of Kurdish workers to be included in the report provided by Ahamad Shahid, the UN special rapporteur to Iran’s human right situation.

Kurdish journalists and the local people believe that due to the lack of data collection opportunities such a number might be even higher.

Widespread employment in the Kurdish areas in Iran which stems from absence of investment and government planning, has driven thousands of Kurdish youths working on the borders carrying goods on their backs into the country.

The Iranian Border Guards often ambush the workers opening fire on them, killing and wounding dozens each year.

UN observer chief Robert Mood on Sunday urged all parties in Syria to end violence, AFP reported. Red Cross chief Jakob Kellenberger fears that UN-Arab envoy Kofi Annan's peace plan for Syria is "in danger," according to an interview in the Swiss weekly Der Sonntag.

State newspapers on Sunday
charged that Al-Qaeda was operating in Syria and carrying out its trademark suicide bombings with the support of Washington and some Arab countries.

UN observers said on Sunday that it was "extremely important" that all sides
respect a promised ceasefire in Syria as a veteran peacekeeper flew in to take command after a new day of bloodshed.

Health condition of detained MP Natshe deteriorating

Well..some have always been of the opinion it´s a lot of differences between a Brit being beheaded and a Kurd being that.

The Value of a Human Life - Most people, when asked about the value of a human life, would answer "priceless" without a moment's hesitation. The Turkish government, however, begs to differ.
Turkish law puts a price on precious life. 25,000 TL, to be exact. That is the amount that is promised as a reward, by Turkey, for each killed HPG member.

It has been reported that nearly 500 new state-sponsored militia members are receiving training in Colemêrg/Hakkari at this time. The state provides these village guards with training, arms, hand bombs and rockets, not to mention financial incentives to fight and kill Kurdish freedom fighters.

Imagine, if instead Turkey spent that amount on each child in the southeast. That money could be spent building schools, hospitals and community centers in the region. Perhaps then the lives of Kurdish children in Turkey would be more enriched, more valuable.

Before WWII and the starvation of the Leningrads there were famines..and genocide famines..

The Soviet Union's Famines. Other tragedies of the Soviet era, includes those that affected Russians like the devastating famines in Kazakhstan and Russia's Volga region. 10 million people died in freeze and hunger.

A third of the Kazakh population was deliberately starved in their own country. Ukrainian, Kazakh and Tatars were starving in the millions. From 1910-21 there was a whole famine in the Russian regions which caused 10 million deaths.

Stalin and Soviet had a treaty with Germany, established August 23, 1939, that was referred to as a non-Aggressive Pact of Friendship. There was also the agreement drawn up by Ribbentrop and Molotov. The agreement stipulated that Poland would be partitioned between Germany and Soviet Union. The non-aggression pact between the two countries was one of the main reasons why Stalin was so shocked when Hitler attacked in 1941.

Or was he really..

Germany invaded Russia in June of 1941. By December of that same year, German troops was on the outskirts of Moscow; tough Russian defense combined with one of the coldest winters in history allowed Russia to hold German forces and counterattack.

In Dec of 1941 Soviets troops drove the Germans back and inflicted enormous casualties. In later 42, the Germans tried to push for Stalingrad with a million men. These were wiped out. All millions of Germans.

In 1942, Hitler decided to turn his army south, towards Stalingrad. The German army was almost successful, but could not quite capture city; nearly 250,000 German's were trapped in the city. Unable to supply the troops by air, eventually the surrounded troops were killed or surrended, in February, 1943.

In the Summer of 1943, the largest tank battle in history took place at Kursk; Germany was defeated by a numerically superior force. From then on, Germany was on the defense.

In the next four years at least 20,000,000 Soviets were killed. The great majority of German casualties occurred on the Russian Front.

At the same time Stalin exterminated Russians that Stalin himself killed, more than the Germans did. 20, 27 Millions of Russians died.

Also hundreds of thousands refugees fleeing in the countrysides of Germany were killed, bombed, exterminated.

Actually, WWII looks more like a orchestrated war-fare with the aim to have as many as possible exterminated.

A whole continent "sliding into anarchy." Actually!

"Threats to Defenders of Democracy in Balochistan"

Yemen: "The slide into anarchy."

"The slide into anarchy."

"Getting the oil flowing again is a basic requirement for the success of any future government. The slide into anarchy during the revolution has led to a situation where the focus of the central government has fallen away from its role as the provider of security for this essential industry."

28/12/2011, Chinese oil companies are preparing to resume operations in Yemen as the country's security situation has started to return to normal after nine months of protests, the Yemeni news agency Saba quoted the Chinese ambassador to Sanaa as saying on Sunday.

The new Yemeni government, formed under a Western-backed Gulf Cooperative Council deal aimed at ensuring a peaceful transfer of political power in Yemen, is working hard to end political unrest and pave the way for foreign companies to resume their activities normally.

17 Mar 2010 – "Yemen boosted security at oil and coastal facilities in six provinces to prevent any possible retaliation attacks."

US aid to Yemen was $326M since 2007.

The Yemeni government is pursuing a broad strategy to counter terrorism and organized crime by implementing a new policy affecting all aspects of society. In the security aspect the government is eliminating vulnerabilities by updating doctrine and better equipping the Yemeni Armed Forces.

The government created a special unit in the Republican Army to counter and combat terrorism effectively. Also, it created the General Administration to counter terrorism and organized crime affiliated with the Ministry of Interior. The creation of the National Security Council was aimed to reinforce counter terrorism activities and tackle organized crime to achieve comprehensive national security.

Yemen's paramilitary force has about 71,000 troops. Approximately 50,000 constitute the Central Security Organization of the Ministry of Interior; they are equipped with a range of infantry weapons and armored personnel carriers. An additional 20,000 are forces of armed tribal levies. Yemen is building up a small coast guard under the Ministry of Interior, training naval military technicians for posts in Aden and Al Mukalla. The coast guard currently has 1,200 personnel.

Yemen's primary and most feared internal security and intelligence-gathering force is the Political Security Organization (PSO), led by military officers; it reports directly to the president and operates its own detention centers.

There are an estimated 150,000 personnel in the PSO. The Central Security Organization, which is part of the Ministry of Interior, maintains a paramilitary force and also has its own extrajudicial detention facilities. Also attached to the Ministry of Interior is the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the police, which conducts most criminal investigations and arrests. The total strength of the CID is estimated to be 13,000 personnel.

According to the U.S. Department of State, members of the PSO and Ministry of Interior police forces have committed serious human rights violations, including physical abuse and lengthy detentions without formal charges. In 2002 the government established the National Security Bureau, which reports directly to the president and appears to have similar responsibilities to those of the PSO, but it remains unclear how the two organizations coordinate their responsibilities.

Security forces were assigned to protect tourist groups and escorting them during their visits to the historical and tourist sites in different provinces. Security forces were assigned to protect oil fields and oil companies working in Yemen. Moreover, land, sea and air forces were assigned to protect oil exporting ports in Al-Daba, Al-Nashima, Rodhom, the oil ship Safer, Ras Essa port and the oil refinery port of Aden. Security forces were assigned to escort gas vehicles in Sana'a, Marib road, in order to protect them from banditry, robbery and shooting.

Government actions to counter an increase in political violence in Saada restricted some practice of religion. For the first time in 5 years, the Government allowed residents of Saada Governorate to celebrate Ghadeer Day (a Shi'a holiday).

In Dhamar, however, Ghadeer Day celebrations in late December sparked violent clashes that left four dead and six injured. During the reporting period, the Government also reportedly continued its efforts to stop the growth of the al-Houthis' popularity by limiting the hours that mosques were permitted to be open to the public. The Government maintained that it was only enforcing existing tradition that mosques should be used primarily for prayer and not for political activities. The Government continued to close down what it claimed to be extremist Shi'a religious institutes, reassigning imams who were thought to espouse radical doctrine and continuing monitoring of mosque sermons.

The Government's efforts concentrated on monitoring mosques for sermons that incite violence or other political statements that it considered harmful to public security. Private Islamic organizations could maintain ties to international Islamic organizations; however, the Government sporadically monitored their activities through the police and intelligence authorities.

The Government also continued efforts to close unlicensed schools and religious centers. By the end of the reporting period, a total of more than 4,500 unlicensed religious schools and institutions had been closed over several years.

The Government expressed concern that these schools deviated from formal educational requirements and promoted militant ideology. The Government also deported some foreign students found studying in unlicensed religious schools. The Government prohibited private and national schools from teaching courses outside of the officially approved curriculum. The purpose of these actions was ostensibly to curb ideological and religious extremism and intolerance in schools.

Tomgram: Nick Turse, How to Arm a Dictator

April 28, 2011, Recently, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates attended a groundbreaking ceremony at Mount Vernon for a National Library for the Study of George Washington. (“I’d like to thank the Mount Vernon Ladies Association for extending this invitation to me...”) He used the occasion for a full-throated defense of the American right to support democracy and freedom with extreme and remarkably self-interested selectivity in the Middle East.

“The most successful leaders, starting with Washington,” he told the ladies, “have steadfastly encouraged the spread of liberty, democracy, and human rights... We have at times made human rights the centerpiece of our national strategy even as we did business with some of the worst violators of human rights. We have worked with authoritarian governments to advance our own security interests even while urging them to reform...”

And here, after a fashion, was the good news he had to offer, if you didn't happen to be a Bahraini, a Yemeni, or from other states where we still like “doing business” with those “violators of human rights” and “authoritarian governments”: “When we discuss openly our desire for democratic values to take hold across the globe,” he said, taking a conveniently long view of history, “we are describing a world that may be many years or decades off."

Years or decades off. In fact, in the Persian Gulf, from Kuwait to Yemen, Saudi Arabia to Bahrain, the Pentagon has been working quite diligently to insure the accuracy of that schedule.

TomDispatch regular and Associate Editor Nick Turse has been working no less diligently to ensure that we have a record of just what the Pentagon has been doing when it comes to arming and training the security forces of those authoritarian governments to insure that democracy doesn’t arrive a second ahead of the SecDef’s schedule.

In mid-March, Turse focused on Bahrain where, with the help of the Saudis and Pentagon weaponry, that country’s security forces brutally repressed a democracy movement.

Now, as part of an ongoing series, he turns to Yemen where some of the same impulses are evident. You might think of this not as a “hearts and minds” winning, but a hearts-and-minds-stopping policy.

And discover the ultimate fascists, psychopathic mass genocidal Nazis, committing genocides over a whole continent exterminating people all along the way on global mass genocidal steamroller, staged for and put in system for decades..Actually.

In fact, it´s maybe not that strange that people were starving to death, during war, attacks and bombings in Nazi Germany..Not to mention one million German soldiers that were starved to death which were not even in prison camps. Just on the spot. No need for camps, clothing, gas chambers, or bother with anything at all in fact.

Just starved in the millions, just like the Armenians..

There's an old saying, attributed to the British Foreign Office in colonial days:

Well..actually, they did...starved 10 millions of Persians to death. That would be at the same time as the Armenian genocide, while pumping Persian oil. The total ethnically cleanings and destruction is still going on actually..

"Öcalan’s isolation applies to all Kurds"

28.04.2012, (DİHA) - The Federation of Associations of Legal Aid and Solidarity for Families of Prisoners (TUHAD-FED) has held an action in Istanbul today in order to draw attention to the ongoing rights violations in prisons. TUHAD-FED President Zübeyde Teker has said that the isolation imposed on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Leader Abdullah Öcalan applies to all Kurds.

Teker has called on the public to join the struggle against rights violations in prisons, reminding of the fact that prisoners are beaten, harassed, burnt and subjected to all kinds of inhuman treatment in prisons in Turkey. Teker has also noted that there are currently 248 seriously sick prisoners in prisons.

“The isolation imposed on Mr. Öcalan applies in fact to all Kurds. This isolation policy is an attempt to legitimize the elimination of all opponent parts of the society. The only honourable heritage that we can give to our children is peace. Come, let us join our forces and say no to this fascist blockade,” said Teker.

Justice approved rape in Fethiye’

(DİHA) - Public reactions increase against the ruling of the Fethiye High Criminal Court for the release of eight defendants accused of raping B.S. in 2007. Women’s Initiative Against Rape held an action in Istanbul today assailing the ruling and said, “Justice approved rape in Fethiye.”

Noting that the case has been dropped due to lack of evidence despite the victim’s testimony, Rojin Akın has pointed out that rape is being legalized by governmental organs in Turkey, which becomes a more and more unsafe place for women as the rapists get found non-guilty.

Prison administration prevents sick prisoner’s transfer to hospital

(DİHA) - Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) executive prisoner Şemsettin Kaya who has hepatitis C and a kidney condition has not been transferred to the hospital by the prison administration despite two orders for his transfer in two months. Jailed BDP Antep Chair Bedran Fermanoğlu has drawn attention in his letter to the arbitrary procedures implemented in the prison.

Kaya who has already been operated seven times before needs to be under constant medical surveillance. Fermanoğlu has noted in his letter that Kaya was finally transferred to the hospital on April 18 after a cardiac arrest. “The guards came very late although we have pushed the alert button many times after our friend got unwell.

The doctor at the hospital has pointed out that he could have died in case he was brought a bit later. Despite this serious condtion our friend was transferred back to the prison half-naked and handcuffed,” wrote Fermanoğlu calling upon the public for sensitivity.

(DİHA) - In the hearing of the case against 55, 43 of whom are jailed including Şırnak deputy Faysal Sarıyıldız, the prosecutor has demanded that 46 be sentenced to 15 years each on the allegation of being members of the illegal organization.

The 76-page indictment claims that KCK (Union of Kurdistan Communities) has total control of the local governments and municipalities and that KCK activists have been given duties in the closed Democratic Society Party (DTP) with the aim of providing a legal cover for illegal activities. The court has recessed after the reading of the indictment.

(DİHA) - The police have not allowed the Platform for Justice for Roboski to march to the Prime Ministry building with coffins representing the 34 victims of the Roboski massacre, who were killed by war planes on December 28. The police’s attitude was assailed in a press statement as the possibility of ‘a bad influence on the public morale’ was given as the reason of the ban.

The group consisting of families of Roboski victims, Human Rights Association (İHD) President Öztürk Türkdoğan and Association for Human Rights and the Oppressed (MAZLUMDER) Assistant President Selahattin Çoban and representatives from several non-governmental organizations was surrounded by riot police and not allowed to march to the Prime Ministry. İHD President Öztürk Türkdoğan said in his speech, “You are afraid of the coffins. But we, the human right advocates, are not afraid for our consciences are free of guilt” as the Platform Spokesperson Nurcan Aktay has noted that the 34 victims who were doing border trade were murdered for 50 TL a day.

In the press statement read by MAZLUMDER Assistant President Selahattin Çoban it has been emphasized that the Roboski village has been turned into an open prison with new arrests of villagers every day and that no justice has been done for the massacre despite the fact that the villagers declared they plan to immigrate to Autonomous Kurdistan Region.

Turkey: 438 village guards given arms training. Farmers raked by soldiers in Suruç: One injured

28.04.2012, (DİHA) - It has been reported that 438 village guards are being given arms training, including guns, handbombs and rockets, in Hakkari.

The village guards have been reminded of the new law promising a prize of 25,000 TL for each killed People’s Defense Force (HPG) member and 5,000 for intelligence. Village guards have also been given phone numbers for immediate informing. It is also claimed that some of the village guards who have not been given guns will be used as informers.

(DİHA) - Speaking about the frequent use of guns by the police in Turkey, Progressive Lawyers Association President Selçuk Kozağaçlı has emphasized that officers use guns more easily in the Kurdish regions of Turkey.

The Human Rights Association (İHD) reported the number of deaths due to police fire as 57 in 2011 or twice as much as the previous year after the authorizations of officers have been increased by law.

Kozağaçlı has noted that officers should first try to catch the person before firing after a stop warning. However, Kozağaçlı has said, police officers in Turkey fire right after a stop warning, giving the example of the death of Çağdaş Gemik who was on a motorcycle slower than that of the police officer who killed him.

Kozağaçlı has pointed out the necessity of unarming the police officers and that not all police officers should be allowed to carry guns.

According to Kozağaçlı certain parts of Turkey have a greater risk of police fire. "Police fire a lot more easily in Kurdish regions, on the grounds that demonstrators throw stones or Molotov cocktails, which should not be considered as firearms."

"If the procedure of not punishing officers who kill citizens continue mass deaths could occur in Turkey,” noted Kozağaçlı.

Finally Kozağaçlı has pointed out that Roboski massacre could be considered a product of the same mentality.

Farmers raked by soldiers in Suruç: One injured

28.04.2012 URFA (DİHA) - Mahmut Akbaş (51) has been raked by soldiers on patrol while he was irrigating his field at night in the Dikmentaş Village near the Syrian border. Akbaş who has been shot on his leg has been hospitalized.

It has been learned that the soldiers opened fire at Akbaş and his son for they thought they were smugglers. Akbaş’s brother Hacı Akbaş has said that about ten to fifteen soldiers have insulted and hit Akbaş with his gun although he was injured.

Akbaş’s son tells the incident, "There were not even 20 metres between the soldiers and us. The lights of our vehicle were on at one end of the field, so the soldiers could have seen what we were doing. Yet they still opened fire. They continued to fire at us as I was trying to approach them to tell them to stop. As I finally reached them they insulted me and did not listen to me when I told them my father was injured."

Saturday Mothers: "Government’s justice means no justice for us."

28.04.2012, (DİHA) - Sit-ins were held in Istanbul, Diyarbakır, Batman and the Cizre Town of Şırnak today by Saturday Mothers demanding justice for those forcibly disappeared and killed in unsolved murders.

On the 370th sit-in in Istanbul, Saturday Mothers protested Mehmet Ağar who has recently been jailed in a prison of his choice after having committed a thousand crimes in operations in the Kurdish region. “The government’s justice means no justice for us,” said the demonstrators.

The sit-in was dedicated to Nurettin Öztürk who was murdered under custody in Ankara in 1984. The press statement was read by Bircan Aker who has witnessed the torturing of Öztürk. “Just like in the past there is no justice, no huma rights in Turkey today. On the other hand, for government officials who committed crimes against humanity prisons are made comfortable,” said Aker.

Turgut Yenisoy who disappeared after being taken into custody by three specialist sergeants in 1994 in the Bismil Town of Diyarbakır was commemorated in the sit-in held in Diyarbakır as in Cizre Asya Bulur told the disappearance story of her brother Ahmet Bulur in Kumçatı in 1995. Bulur was shot 95 times by village guards and soldiers.

EKEM's Observatory for European Energy Policy and the “Future Outlook of Nabucco Pipeline”

EKEM's Observatory for European Energy Policy - The Iraq-Turkey Pipeline (ITP), also known as the Kirkuk-Ceyhan crude oil pipeline, was initially made operational for the exports of crude oil. In the two-day educational workshop on the expansion of three gas fields, held in Istanbul on August 1, 2010, 11 companies participated, among which French Total, Italian Edison, and Norwegian Statoil expressed interests for taking part in the gas bidding for the expansion of these three fields.

It is notable that the Akkas and Mansouria gas fields were among fields which were presented to international oil companies through Iraq’s oil biddings last year. Among them, a consortium with the leadership of the Italian Edison Company made a proposal for the expansion of the Akkas gas field which was declined by the Iraqi Ministry of Petroleum.

In January 2010, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Iraqi Minister of Petroleum and the Head of the European Energy Union for strategic cooperation with the European Union (EU) for the supply of gas to Nabucco pipeline. EU energy experts estimate that Iraq has the capacity to supply the gas required by the Nabucco pipeline through its gas resources in the Kurdistan Region by 5 to 10 bcm a year.

In the “Future Outlook of Nabucco Pipeline” session held in Istanbul in July 2010, Nouri Al-Maliki announced that during this procedure, the shareholders of the project will receive throughput capacity of up to 15 bcm of gas per year by 2015 (50 percent of the total transport capacity of the pipeline).

Ashti Hawrami, Kurdistan Energy and Natural Resources Minister, in his July 2010 trip to Ankara, met with the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and announced that this region is ready to join the Nabucco Pipeline.

On May 24, 2010, Syrian Minister of Petroleum met with the chairman of the Italian Company, Saipem, for talks on cooperation in the oil and gas sector. Discussions were also made on the refurbishment of crude oil pipelines of Kirkuk fields and the transfer of gas produced in the oil fields of the southern Basra.

Genel Energy, Iraq-Turkey Pipeline

In 15 November 2011, the Financial Times reported that Genel Energy plans to build a pipeline that will connect its fields in the Kurdish regions in northern Iraq to a port in Turkey on the Mediterranean. Reuters reports that the pipeline will run from DNO’s Tak Tak field to Faysh Khabour, which is the upstation in the northern part of Kurdistan immediately on the Iraqi side of the border with Turkey, connecting in to the major export line to the port of Ceyhan in Turkey.

Tony Hayward, the former head of BP, who is leading the new company formed from the merger of Vallares with Turkey’s Genel Enerji, said the pipeline will have a capacity of 400,000 barrels of oil a day. “We’ve completed the engineering on it and are currently in the market to identify an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor,” Hayward said. The Daily Mail expects the new company to begin trading on 21st November.

Employers have been taken into custody in raids at 42 workplaces in the Yüksekova Town of Hakkari

27.04.2012, HAKKARİ (DİHA) - A great number of employers have been taken into custody in raids at 42 workplaces in the Yüksekova Town of Hakkari. It has been reported that the employers’ houses in villages are also being searched.

The detained employers have been taken to the Yüksekova Police Department. The meeting had been attended by chiefs of police as well as prosecutors and judges.

Knowing Kurdish, having a knowledge of Kurdish poems considered a evidence for being a part of terror organization in Turkey

Knowing Kurdish and having a knowledge of Kurdish poems has been considered a criminal evidence by the prosecutor in the KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) trial targeting the BDP (Peace and Democracy Party).

The Kurdish lessons given by lawyer Gönül Erdem were recorded as criminal evidence in the KCK Istanbul Indictment which on 2 April announced that the indictment had been accepted.

The prosecutor also made quite interesting evaluations about the Kurdish poem and grammar books found in the house of lawyer Gönül Erdem who was arrested within the framework of KCK operations.

The prosecutor said the followings about a Kurdish poem containing notes by Erdem;

"It is understood that the suspect gave efforts to learn Kurdish to be more beneficial to the terror organization and her learning Kurdish cannot be explained only with her interest in learning a language."

"In consideration of the criminal evidences, it is seen that the suspect played a role in the terror organization and the statements she made during some illegal meetings she attended reveal her commitment to the claim of the terror organization."

Family of Pozantı victim call for release of their child

22 April 2012, Child who exposed abuses in Pozantı prison still suffer harassment from ordinary prisoners. T.T. was jailed after he exposing what he had gone through while in Pozantı and Kürkçüler prisons. Now the boy has been attacked by an ordinary prisoner in the Adana Ekrem Tok Mental Health Hospital where he has been getting treatment. Concerned about their child’s life and safety, T.T.’s family calls on the public to help them asking for his immediate release.

T.T. was jailed on March 7 accused of having taken part to an illegal demonstration after he told DİHA News Agency about the abuses he suffered in Pozantı and Kürkçüler prisons. DİHA journalist Özlem Ağuş who interviewed T.T. was also been arrested on the allegations of being member of an illegal organization and making propaganda of an illegal organization.

It has been learned that T.T. who has attempted suicide twice was attacked by an ordinary prisoner in the mental health hospital on March 19 and 20, causing fractures on his head. T.T. had refused treatment once before and wanted to go back to the prison for a gendarmerie soldier told ordinary prisoners to beat T.T. who is a ‘terrorist.’ However, T.T. was hospitalized again with the efforts of his lawyers and human rights advocates.

T.T.’s parents Beşir and Azize Tekin are very concerned about T.T.’s health and safety and demand his immediate release. His lawyer Tugay Bek points out that the violent attack is proof that T.T. cannot get treatment under these conditions and emphasizes that he needs to be immediately released in order to get treatment.

Füle answered motion on ill-treatment of juvenile prisoners in Turkey. "Turkey needs to guarantee the fundamental rights and freedoms of all its citizens," says EU Commission.

19 April 2012,MEP Jürgen Klute, German Member of the European Parliament (GUE/NGL Group) and Coordinator of the European Parliament - Kurds Friendhip Group, tabled an official parliamentary written question to the EU Commission denouncing the ill-treatment of juvenile prisoners in Turkey, namely in Pozanti and Ankara prisons. He was asking to the EU Commission to intervene vis-a-vis of Turkish authorities to stop these ill-treatments.

Here is the full answer by EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Mr Stefan Füle (in charge also of the EU-Turkey Accession talks), on behalf of the European Commission.

"The Commission has been informed of the allegations of ill-treatment of juvenile prisoners in the Pozantı M Type Prison in Adana.

The Commission has also been informed that the Human Rights Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly has announced that it will investigate the allegations.

Turkey, as a country negotiating accession to the EU, needs to guarantee the fundamental rights and freedoms of all its citizens in line with the provisions of the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights. These include children's rights, the prevention of torture and ill-treatment in prisons as well as appropriate prison conditions.

Moreover, as underlined in the 2011 Progress Report on Turkey, an urgent review of the system for dealing with juveniles is needed to minimize the number in prison and the time they spent there and make sure that detention conditions meet the needs of children.

The Commission intends to bring up the issue with the Turkish authorities, notably in the framework of the political monitoring.

As regards the Turkish Criminal Code and the Anti-Terror Law, the Commission has stressed at various occasions that they need to be amended in order to ensure full respect for fundamental rights in line with the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights.

Exhibition to expose situation of children in prison

17 April 2012, Event to open in Ankara on 21 April. Life has never been a holiday” is the title of an event which will be organized in Ankara on 21 April to call attention to the situation of arrested Kurdish children. The event which will take place before April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day is organized by the organization Justice for Children (ÇİAT) which will tell the public opinion about Kurdish children’s arrests and their harassment in prison.

Giving information to ANF about the event and its purpose, ÇİAT activist Dilan Yılmaz says that the arrest of children should be considered as a problem in itself. Yılmaz gives the following information on the forum event to be organized on April 21 in Ankara; “Various academicians, researchers, authors and lawyers will make speeches to tell and remember the stories of children. We will tell about the phases of what TMK victim children go through in prison”

Yılmaz added that the event schedule also includes a “My Dream Room” titled painting exhibition of children from Van, Batman, Diyarbakır, Urfa-Silvan and Suruç.

Yılmaz called for participation in the event and added the followings; “Against the colorful images reflected by the mainstream media on April 23 Children's Day, we will demand justice for TMK victim children who are ignored by the state and the society and put behind bars in ice-cold buildings. If there is a day for children, all children in this country should be provided with equal circumstances for this feast day. We call for participation by everybody who wants to raise their voice against the unlawfulness imposed on arrested children.”

Over 4,500 students suspended for their political activities

07 April 2012, Seven thousand university students have been investigated in two years. Answering the parliamentary question by Independent MP for Istanbul, Levent Tüzel, Minister of National Education Ömer Dinçer remarked that a total of 7,043 university students were subject to investigation in 2010 and 2011. Among the investigated university students, 4,600 have been suspended and 55 discharged from university, stated Minister Dinçer.

Independent MP for Istanbul, Levent Tüzel asked Prime Minister Erdoğan “how many students have been investigated in the last two years on the grounds of disobeying YÖK (High Education Board) and rectorship rules, protesting against the government’s educational policies and school fee, transportation, dormitory and cafeteria expenses, provoking students to join demos and activities, bringing mineral water, pastry and bread to school, defending the right to mother tongue education, whistling, dancing halay, listening to music in mass, wearing Puşi (Palestinian headscarf), distributing the paper Evrensel, setting a table in campus for on an announcement and introductory basis, hanging up banners, distributing leaflets, and organizing a meeting, music performance, panel discussion, movie presentation, book-reading activity”.

Minister Dinçer also notified that a total of 7,043 university students were subject to investigation in 2010 and 2011.

As the figure of penalized students is increasing day by day, students continue to face police and violence before, during and after all kinds of democratic acts they stage. The most recent example of this fact has been lived on 6 April when 55 university students were taken into custody for protesting against the visit of a government official to their campus.

Five students were taken into custody in Alanya district of Antalya for protesting and chanting slogans against deputy prime minister Bülent Arınç who was on a visit to the district. The group of students was intervened by Arınç’s guards and police who sent five students to security directorate.
President Abdullah Gül was also met with protests during his visit to Kocaeli University. Around 50 students were taken into custody for protesting against Gül’s visit to the rector. Detentions came following the police attack on students who tried to break the barricade police made before the rectorate building.

Turkey: Abuse claims pile up in Pozanti Prison - Sexual abuse of Kurdish children in Turkish prison

DIHA - March 3, 2012 — Reports are coming through regarding Kurdish children who were arrested in connection with political actions and placed in ordinary criminals' ward in Pozantı Prison. The kids are claiming that they have been sexually abused and beaten by ordinary criminals.“Upon arrival, we were forced to pass naked through x-ray machines many times.

The soldiers hit our fingers while taking our fingerprints. Then they took us to a dark room where we were forced to undress. They poured cold water on us and hit us with hosepipes,” tells V.Y. (17) who spent four and a half months in the Pozantı Prison when he was 13 years old.

As sexual and physical abuse claims in the Pozantı Prison struck the agenda similar stories pile up one after another.

V.Y. tells they stayed 25 of them in a ward of 14 and had to call the wardens ‘Sir.’ Sick prisoners were not treated and political prisoners’ right to social activity and visits were diminished. Those who resisted the wardens were taken out of the ward and they returned with their pants taken off. V.Y. who was subjected to torture not only in the Pozantı Prison but also in the police station and the Tarsus C Type Closed Prison has applied to the Human Rights Association (İHD) Adana Branch for legal aid.

Families are not happy with the government’s solution to the problems in the Pozantı Prison by transferring the prisoners to the Sincan Prison.

“Instead of transferring them to far-away prisons where we will not be able to visit them, they should improve the conditions of the Pozantı Prison,” says Abdullah A. whose son C.A. (17) has been jailed for six months.

Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Mersin MP Ertuğrul Kürkçü had a meeting yesterday with the Pozantı Prison administration who denies the claims. In spite of the fact that he was unable to get information Kürkçü said the claims are real and should be investigated.

At the same time, Mersin Association of Help and Solidarity with Immigrants (Göç-Der) President Selahattin Güvenç commented that it was the government’s policy since the establishment of the Turkish Republic to retain and abuse Kurdish children, referring to the sexual abuse of forcibly adopted girls after the Dersim massacre in 1938.

“This is a government’s policy. The government takes away the children and subject them to harassment and sexual abuse. It took place 74 years ago in soldiers’ homes where girls were forced to go, it is taking place today in prisons,” said Güvenç.

A commission from the People’s Republican Party (CHP) went to Mersin on Tuesday to investigate the child sexual and physical abuse claims in the Pozantı Prison. The commission visited İŞTAR Women’s Counselling Centre and Human Rights Association Mersin Branch. “The released children live in a state of paranoia. They are very anxious, they believe they are being followed and tapped,” said Didem Gelegen from İŞTAR noting that sexual and physical abuse has to be prevented in prisons and child arrests must be made more difficult legally.

The Association of Socialist Youth (SGD) demanded the Minister of Justice Sadullah Ergin’s resignation in Diyarbakır on Friday in a demonstration to protest the child sexual abuse in the Pozantı Prison. "The oppressive mentality of December 19 which turned the prisons into bloodshed has been replaced with a similar mentality turning the prisons into torture centres for children."

"The Ministry of Justice is responsible for all inhuman treatment, sexual abuse and torture,” said Jülide Ateş on behalf of the SGD. The SGD members will send postcards to child prisoners in the Pozantı Prison.

In Ankara, Progressive Lawyers Association (ÇHD) and human rights associations say that the transfer of abused children from the Pozantı Prison to the Ankara Juvenile Closed Prison is not a solution because of several factors, one of them being the great number of denouncements against the latter. Human Rights Association (İHD) Secretary Emrah Şeyhanlıoğlu noted that the transfer was not in favor of the children whom the families will not be able to visit in Ankara due to long distances.

Şeyhanlıoğlu criticized the few number of juvenile prisons in Turkey saying, “There are only three juvenile prisons whereas more than 2,000 children are jailed in Turkey. This means children are incarcerated together with adults.”

ÇHD Ankara Branch President Murat Yılmaz also underlined that changing places was not a solution. “The real solution is to transfer these children to reformatories. Hospitals must be opened where psychologists will ensure the protection from any kind of abuse. The state is responsible for the [sexual abuse] incidents. Because the state ignores them these incidents increase,” said Yılmaz.

Meanwhile eight child prisoners jailed under the Anti-Terror Law (TMK) in the Mardin E Type Closed Prison declared on Saturday that they have gone on a three-day hunger strike in order to protest the sexual abuse incidents in the Pozantı Prison and the isolation of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) Leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Alarming suicide trend raise questions in a region with human rights violations, arrests, torture, explosions, extrajudicial killings, disappearances

26-04-2012, KURDPA: According to latest news and information received from Kurdistan and on-the-ground events in the Kurdish areas of Iran in the last month and all the evidences available show that the lack of any sense of civilian security and safety is wide-spread in all the Kurdish territories.

According to the available and reliable news and information, the Iranian Kurds have been confronted with horrible and unfavourable treatments such as direct assault resulting in the death of Kurdish border workers, arrests and disappearances, mine explosions, suicides and in general a psychological onslaught, fear and anxiety are the dominant sentiment in all the cities of Kurdistan.

In the last month, several incidents of mine explosion, killing of border workers, suicide and mysterious killing of citizens in various forms have taken place in the cities, territories and villages of Iranian Kurdistan that have become the headlines of many media outlets focusing on the region.

Mine explosion, a common occurrence in Kurdistan: Mine explosions and incidents in Iranian Kurdistan, particularly in border regions have become an ordinary occurrence where in the last month five defenceless civilians have fallen victim to this man-made plague.

Killing on-foot merchants, a border incubus

Despite the extrajudicial killings and the indiscriminate shooting of the Kurdish border workers by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, recorded as the region’s most horrible episodes, Iranian Kurds are forced to choose this dangerous means of living as there are no opportunities for employment in the Kurdish areas. Just in the last month alone, 3 people have lost their lives due to the indiscriminate attacks of the repressive security forces in the borders on the on-foot merchants who carry goods on their back across the border.

Lack of personal security and mysterious killings

According to available information and data of incidents in Kurdistan, the lack of personal security and fear of being killed has eclipsed the civilian livelihood in the Kurdish areas.

Abductions and subsequent disappearances in different areas and in various and mysterious forms befall Kurdish residents, where in the same period 3 people were mysteriously killed.

Sadly, these targets fall further victim to the intentional negligence and lack of legal proceedings against perpetrators.

Iran’s Kurdish regions are among the highest rate of suicide

Ill-natured social trends are also the main causes of upheaval in Kurdish society; lack of opportunities, poverty and financial despair are among the chief reasons of suicides among the Kurdish population in Iran, where 5 people took their own lives in the last 30 days.

Kurdish labourers, as the most hardworking and underprivileged segment of society, constantly struggle with the intricacy of life and work. Aside from low wages and poor working conditions, there are no safeguards due to lack of job security and employment benefits. Work incidents have taken the lives of 5 Kurdish workers in the last month as well.

According to the data recorded by our news agency, KURDPA, and other information sent to us, aside from the arrest of 29 Kurdish individuals, overall 20 people have become victims of various incidents which are as follow:

29 individuals have been arrested and imprisoned for various offences whom are mostly political and civilian activists; their combined sentences are 68 years in prison, 2 months in exile and 8 years of suspended imprisonment.

Without a doubt, the accurate figures of arrest, killings and other occurrences in the last month are well above and beyond these statistics; however, due to lack of presence of any independent media and independent human rights observers in the Kurdish areas, most incidents remain uncovered and unreported.

Unanswered questions:
- why are so many horrifying incidents happening in Iranian Kurdistan within a single month?

-How come deprived and unprivileged Kurds, despite quite certain of all the consequences, embark on the dangerous business of carrying goods on their back across the border in the middle of shivering cold and winter to bring bread on the table of their family, and despite the recurrence of tragedies they carry on?

What pushes these goods-carrying workers to brazen out death? Why no legal proceeding have been ever carried out against any of the perpetrators of these crimes, and which international law permits border guards to open fire upon border crossers indiscriminately with the intention of causing harm and death?

-what are the causes of poverty in Kurdistan, and what has instigated the alarming suicide trend in Kurdistan?

Aysel Tuğluk: "Those whom the state calls ‘terrorists’ are the children of the Kurdish people."

26 April 2012, Human shields on the way to avoid further deaths in clashes. Hundreds of people, including elected members of BDP and DTK, have departed from Diyarbakır today to the area of ongoing operation to act as human shields.

The air supported aerial attack in Lice-Kulp-Genç triangle on Diyarbakır-Bingöl borderline continues broadening. Ten thousand soldiers are said to be taking part in the operation which is backed up by intense military shipment to the area. Reports are received of conflicts in some places. The people in the region have applied to BDP offices to express their worries.

The human shield action of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and Democratic Society Congress (DTK) has started today under the leadership of DTK co-chair and Van MP Aysel Tuğluk, DTK Coordination Board Member and BDP Batman MP Ayla Akat Ata, BDP deputies Mülkiye Birtane, Nursel Aydoğan, BDP Diyarbakır provincial and district chairs as well as BDP mayors, executives, Peace Mothers Initiative, representatives of MEYADER and NGO representatives.

The convoy of human shields was stopped before leaving Diyarbakır where police made detail searches and id checks and not allowed some buses to leave the city.

Despite the blockade of police who basing on no official prohibition tried to prevent the people, human shields continued the way without buses, insisting that they wouldn’t let their children die. Demonstrators, most of whom are women, have been heading towards the Lice area with the convoy which was allowed to move after the demonstrators.

In a press statement on Wednesday evening on the expanding military activity and reports of clashes and deaths coming from the operation area, Democratic Society Congress (DTK) co-chair Aysel Tuğluk remarked that masks have been distributed to the soldiers involved in the operation and evaluated this as a sign of the possibility that chemical weapons could be used in the operation.

Giving information about the human shield action on Thursday, Tuğluk said that; “We will go to the operation area to avoid further deaths in clashes which also worry the people in the region. We will demand the ending of operations.”

Tuğluk pointed out that the recent operations came soon after the statements of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip who said operations would end if PKK laid arms down. Evaluating this statement as two-facedness, Tuğluk underlined that; “We have died and been killed enough. The Kurdish people don’t accept any further deaths. This is a matter of conscience. Operations could be stopped through a community reaction. We also call on the mothers of soldiers to say stop to operations.”

Evaluating Prime Minister’s statements as unconvincing, Tuğluk said that the Kurdish people won’t believe the word peace as long as the Imralı isolation continues, elected representatives are put in prison and peace group members are sentenced to imprisonment up to 76 years.

“There is no peace or a will for peace in question. The strategy and operation of targeting and making away with Kurds still continues as a vicious cycle. This process and the current conflict environment will end up in an unavoidable separation and unintended pains. The feeling of living together is fading away every passing day.”

Tuğluk remarked that those whom the state calls ‘terrorists’ are the children of the Kurdish people and added that they will protect their children by preventing this operation and not remaining silent any more.

For decades, Palestinians have been slaughtered, displaced, intimidated, humiliated, collectively punished, and denied equal rights as Jews. They've also been mass imprisoned.

Gaza is an open-air prison. The West Bank and East Jerusalem fare little better. Life in Occupied Palestine for about 4.2 million residents is hell. Palestinian prisoner numbers vary. Thousands are affected at all times. Pre-dawn raids, arrests, false charges, harsh interrogations, torture, intimidation, rigged trials, and imprisonment terrorize them. Children young as 10 are affected.

Israel holds Palestinians in 17 prisons, four interrogation centers, and another four for shorter-term detentions. All but one are in Israel in violation of Fourth Geneva's Article 76.

Security prisoners' social needs are ignored. Excluded are education and rehabilitation services. So is amnesty from Israel's president or reduction of life sentences.

In 2011, restrictions were further tightened. Conditions worsened. Netanyahu publicly said measures were adopted to exacerbate prison harshness. More than ever, cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment is policy.

Hunger strikers face collective punishment. All rights were denied them. Dozens were moved to isolated southern Negev's Nafha Prison.

Pain and suffering is featured. Rule of law principles are ignored. Police state cruelty substitutes for what even Israeli law mandates.

When imposed, strict rules govern treatment Israel spurns with impunity. Whether isolated or part of the general prison population, Palestinians are treated horrifically.

On April 17, over 1,200 Palestinian prisoners began hunger striking for justice. On April 24, the International Middle East Media Center estimated around 3,000 "as (growing) waves of detainees" demand international law guaranteed rights.

Zionists call for burning “Arab students” at the Hebrew University

It´s kindá striking how one comes and think about burnings in the ovens in Nazi Germany..Where did we hear Turkey had some ovens as well..? Then..acid wells is a good alternative for some..isn´t it..Moving on to whole containers while already being at it..Quite different from the old carts in Caucasus and Nazi Germany..isn´t it..
